Found my running "calling"

With the completion of my first trail race this past Saturday, I have found my running "calling".  I did the Tashka 25K near Tuscaloosa, Al, and loved every minute of it!  They also offer a 50K and I think I see one in my future!  I felt strong throughout the race thanks to Eric's run drills and technique.  Since starting the program, I have become much stronger and look for great thing to come in the future.

Progress on the Trails

I am beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel.  I ran just over seven miles today on my favorite trails near my house in preparation for an upcoming Xterra 15K Trail Run and I can see definite improvement!  I can feel myself getting stronger and my calves felt less taxed and far less sore than previous runs.  Eric's plan works and I am so excited by the results I am seeing!

First Week

This has been my first week of Running with Eric.  After finishing Born to Run and finding Eric's Run Drills and Technique on Twitter, I have initiated the transition to a fore foot strike.  My calves have been on fire this week but each run has gotten easier and I can feel myself getting stronger.  My ultimate goal in this change is longevity-I want to be able to run into old age.  I love running, especially trail running, and I want to be able to do it long term without injury.  I know that proper form is key to this and I am committed to achieving this goal!  Thanks Eric!
